I did lead transactional Finance for Eurofins Germany. Which means 400 Million Euros Turnover and 5000 colleagues in 100 Legal Entities.
I do this as Managing Director of a Shared Service Centre with 50 employees.
I enabled the achievement of bottom-line results by developing and implementing both financial and operations management plans for approximately 100 legal entities and 5000 employees. I maintained a trajectory of growth while avoiding obstacles arising from constantly changing demands of staff and operations across three departments. I increased staff’s performance and motivation levels of total 5o employees in three departments through three direct reports.
I was the Department lead for Finance IT Germany. Leading multimillion dollar Migration and ERP rollout projects.
I was responsible for 1st level support of the ERP System with 1700 Users in Germany.
I was the lead of the internal project & process management team for Eurofins Germany (Shared Services)
I assembled, coached, deployed, and monitored high-performing team of five personnel for seamless operations. I introduced workflow and project management systems to streamline day-to-day activities of SSC. I created the business analysis to drive the main financial controlling processes.
I lead projects that shapes the operations of several thousand employees and the complete finance department. I drove projects related to IT and finance management operations under strict time and budget constraints. integrated systems/sources of information and implemented a time tracking system by establishing management information and controlling system in SAP, BI, and CATS. I expanded and optimised the creditors accounting for the e-commerce business of external customers, including Escada, LEE, Wrangler, and Adidas by using Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
I was the financial controller for DSV Germany shared services and several business units.
I transformed the operations and reporting for all internal allocations and cross charge activities fundamentally.
I was driving sales centring and played a vital part in profit maximization activities.
I identified threats and risks associated with the shared service Centre Germany while crafting business continuity plan accordingly. Set-up financial budgets and oversaw P&L activities for administrative areas of DSV in Germany. I enforced end-to-end controls for operational compliance with set standards/policies for subsidiaries of DSV road. I calculated costs and allocated all overheads in SAP FI / CO, leading to an accurate cost calculation of products and activities in many operational areas.
I set up the Treasury department from scratch in a startup.
I invented and designed all treasury processes.
I drove the entire hedging, cash management, debt management and investment controlling for multimillion dollar projects and operations.
Acknowledged for designing all treasury related processes & organizational structures in the treasury department of a PE backed Shipping Start Up. Established operational excellence in all cash management, derivative handling & risk management processes for a fleet of ore than 20 multi purpose & heavy lift vessels.
