Key data: I was born in 1967 and after a technical-vocational apprenticeship, I completed a part-time degree as a Diploma Engineer in Automation Technology. After switching to HR management, I also gained extensive knowledge in International Management through another part-time degree. In the German Vattenfall Group and at GAZPROM Germania, I gained broad leadership experience at various levels up to the HR management level (one level below the board or general management). Since spring 2018, I have provided my gathered experience to clients as a freelance consultant, interim manager, and coach.
My daily rate depends on travel requirements, length of the assignment, and the quality level of the task.
My background: After just over 10 years in technical roles, I switched to HR management. There I was initially responsible for HR IT but quickly took on broader leadership duties. My largest role so far in a line function was building and leading the HR Shared Service Center of the German Vattenfall Group, with over 300 employees in my area and a budget responsibility of over €40 million. The focus of this task was to transform four independently operating traditional HR departments into an efficient service organization that provided standardized, high-quality services for 21,000 employees and 35,000 pensioners. This was achieved within three years, along with over 30% cost savings.
My focus: As a consultant and interim manager, I mainly work on reorganization projects and on projects for process optimization and HR digitization. A key focus is identifying the effects of changes in affected organizations and managing the resulting side effects. The most common reason for change processes to fail is not technical issues but emotional factors. In addition to these aspects, I also pay special attention to co-determination issues.
In addition to my work as a consultant and interim manager, I represent YOUTH GLOBE as a licensee. The company offers programs in personal development, especially in developing leadership skills, with a focus on innovation and leading organizations.
