I know that feeling all too well. A few years ago, I was part of a development team myself. I worked at a company that stuck to slow workflows and conservative hierarchies, and I was frustrated that we delivered zero added value to our clients. My suggestions and ideas for change were ignored. The main thing was that I was in the office from 9 to 5 - no longer and definitely not before the boss.

For me, agile working has always been the natural way to collaborate, and once I found it was the answer to my frustration, I turned my passion for it into my profession.

Agile habits are the key to effective collaboration and team success. That doesn't mean it's always easy peasy. Often, open communication uncovers uncomfortable issues first - and then they get solved constructively.

Agile work requires entirely new skills, like flexibility and unlearning.
