Hey! I’m Jonas and I’m a freelance Product Owner for web, API, backend, and app development teams.

I work best in a team with talented designers and developers. I act as a multiplier, making sure everyone has all the information they need to work at their best. My technical and analytical skills lead to well-thought-out concepts and efficient refinements. By understanding both worlds, I bridge business and IT.

I’m a systems penetrator. I have a quick grasp. By asking questions, reviewing documents and source code, and creating various diagrams, I develop a deep understanding of the existing or upcoming system. In my past as a developer and software architect, I’ve learned many system designs and technologies, so I can quickly find my way in a new system landscape.

I’m a translator. I don’t just turn needs into requirements and requirements into software, I also translate between people and teams in the company. I understand business and IT, and I bridge both worlds.

I’m a moderator. With my deep understanding of the system and its issues, I quickly spot when people talk past each other and help move meetings forward productively.

I’m a multiplier. In all past projects, I was the go-to person for business units, designers, and developers. I advise related business units and other stakeholders on finding the most effective solution. I help designers by making technical possibilities and constraints transparent so they know all the boundaries. I also give constructive feedback backed by studies or past experiences. Developers come to me to clarify functional aspects, but also to get tips on the overall system’s functionality or the best person to talk to. Often they show me source code because they know I understand it.

I’m a trainer. I don’t hoard the knowledge I gain—I pass it on. In every project, there always comes a point where I deliver knowledge about the product, the technical systems, or a technology in the form of training sessions.

I’m an architect. Supported by my understanding of the entire system, I create well-thought-out concepts for implementing the needed or desired functionality. I try to consider all possible edge cases and error scenarios so potential complexities are identified or made transparent early. I involve all parties early so there are no surprises.

I’m a quality assurer. Quality is very important to me. I don’t like bad software. That’s why I make sure there’s a working quality management process in the team.
