After the take-over of Greenwich Consulting by EY, I joined EY's EMEIA accelerator for digital transformation and led the Digital Enterprise Strategy Group. Our role was to inject cutting-edge know-how on digital transformation into the European account teams. Part of our success is that EY is today recognized as one of the leading consulting firms for digital transformation. That is true for technical competencies like IoT, robotics, and blockchain, but also for broader transformational efforts like experience-led transformation, business model reinvention, and the re-thinking of an organization's operating model.
Every consulting firm should have an office in Lisbon. For Greenwich we built a sizeable office to cover emerging markets in Africa, Middle East, and Asia. But it also served as a recruiting hub for well trained, English speaking consultants who are eager to travel and do projects all over the world. In some years, our office generated 60% of the profits for the entire group.
T-Mobile, Google, and HTC joined forces to launch Android as the new and open operating system for mobile phones. I had the honor to act as the Proposition Manager and be in the middle of that incredible global launch that was going to change the entire industry.
Generation Consulting was my first start-up creation. With a team of passionated market researchers and FMCG experts, we made the segment of the elderly easier accessible for companies. Our ambition was to create real insights into segments and help companies monetize them through better targeting, optimized pricing, and a more relevant product experience.
What we did in Rio de Janeiro within 6 months was the creation of the largest mobile telco start-up company. And we did it in record team. High pace, great fun, successful launch. Incredible experience and my chance to learn Portuguese!
During this period of incredible growth, I helped telco players cope with the strategic decision making on network and IT technologies, positioning in the market, product portfolio and branding. I was part of an incredible team of passionate experts: Cluster Consulting (later absorbed by OliverWyman)

Gemini university was a once-a-year training camp, but I would call these entire 4 years my consulting university.
