Completed III semesters of post-graduate studies with the result: very good (the highest score).

Has demonstrated a fundamental level of Scrum mastery, including the concepts of applying Scrum, and proven an understanding of Scrum as described in the Scrum Guide. This individual has also demonstrated a consistent use of terminology and approach to Scrum.

His assigned area of responsibility basically includes the project management for high-end headlights for various customers with the latest top technologies, including specific time challenges:

• Aligning and defining requirements with the customer in the form of established project descriptions
• Agreeing on quality, cost, and deadline targets with the client using existing procedures and methods in consultation with the relevant or supervisory departments
• Planning internal and external capacities and participating in the selection of team members, taking into account individual potentials and skills; defining and assigning work packages, and planning gate milestones using the documented framework processes for product development
• Defining, planning, coordinating, and monitoring technical tasks within a project team using specified methods and systems (including the product development process); involving internal and, if necessary, external services while considering economic, quality, and scheduling aspects
• Recording the project status, including continuous preparation and interpretation of internal and external information; monitoring the project progress and, in case of deviations or changes in targets, deciding on appropriate measures, if needed in consultation with the supervisor
• Performing project controlling in the form of reviews (final and interim reports) with clients based on agreed quality, cost, and schedule goals
• Participating in or carrying out defined escalation scenarios when target deviations occur; presenting available solution alternatives in coordination with involved development, sales, production, and service units
• Ensuring that defined technical standards are met during development; involving pre-development and production engineering to align product concepts and technological alternatives

In parallel to project management, Mr. Nickel is responsible for handling and overseeing special topics:

• Supervising master's thesis
• Developing processes for new sputter coatings as a specific technical topic
• Responsible for an optical pre-development in an innovative headlight project
