  • The CIO brought me in to build the newly launched IT PMO.
  • I started with about 20 employees mainly working on a large outsourcing project.
  • Project demand quickly grew the team to over 40 people.
  • The portfolio then had about 50 diverse projects worth around AUD 100 million. The PMO had its own budget of about AUD 2 million.
  • My focus was raising the PMO maturity from about 0.5 to almost 2.0 in 15 months, nearly doubling the team with strong members and creating a positive environment for collaboration and performance.
  • I also developed a comprehensive change management framework that became the basis for major transformation processes.
