Co-Founder & Chief Innovation Officer
Home of Nomads
As co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer, I was responsible for the conceptual, strategic and content development of a scalable business model in co-working and co-living. The goal was to build a global brand for flexible work and living – similar to the Starbucks concept, applied to workplaces and living spaces.
Key tasks & responsibilities:
- Developing the overarching vision, positioning and growth strategy for the startup
- Designing a digital platform to connect private and commercial workspace providers (marketplace logic similar to Airbnb)
- Creating an innovative usage concept for flexible workspaces: from private home offices to temporarily vacant corporate spaces to co-working offers
- Translating social and economic trends (remote work, new work, space efficiency, pandemic effects) into a viable business model
- Close collaboration with product development, design, tech and business development teams
- Contributing to pitch decks, business plans and investor outreach
- Establishing initial partnerships with private providers, companies and agencies
Key achievements & contributions:
- Developed the original business idea and MVP concept for a platform for short-term workspace rentals
- Clear strategic realignment during the pandemic: using private work rooms and vacant office spaces as day and project offices
- Defined a scalable development roadmap: platform → own curated spaces → global co-working and co-living brand
- Created a clear brand and usage concept that holistically connects work, living and community

- Built a holistic understanding of platform economies, scalable business models and innovative space concepts
- Gained deep insights into the challenges of early-stage startups, especially in funding, investor relations and strategic direction
- Made a conscious decision to separate due to differing views on sponsorship and further scaling

Consulting on the deliberate design of modern work environments as a tool for organizational and cultural development – with a focus on participatory, co-creative processes at the intersection of space, organization and people.

- Deputy project management for merging 8 locations into a new building complex
- Further development and adaptation of a flexible office use concept (desk-sharing) considering lease agreements and building constraints

- Designing and conducting participatory workshops for needs assessment, validation and user acceptance

Responsibility for implementing flexible work environments in an operational setting – with a strong technical focus on building services, tenant fit-out and managing complex renovation projects in a highly regulated banking environment.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
- Project management for renovation and space development projects at the Frankfurt headquarters during ongoing operations
- Implementing flexible work and usage concepts (new way of working, desk-sharing, activity-based working)
- Technical management and coordination of renovation works, including building services (HVAC, ventilation, air flow, fire protection)
