- Project: Complete renovation (including KfW, ESG, and fire protection) of 8 residential high-rise buildings in Dortmund
- Renovation of stripped-out vacant space according to KfW 55 EE
- Technical assessment and definition of necessary work
- Tendering selected construction and specialist engineering services, including collecting offers and making award recommendations
- Project management, coordination of all construction participants, and organizing and moderating weekly project meetings
- Reporting in English with controller and investor
Tasks before construction start:
- Identifying technical problem areas (insufficient building structure, fire protection deficiencies, asbestos contamination, planning deviations)
- Defining and recommending a sensible renovation goal (scope of work, finish standards, local rent index, budget)
- Defining tender objectives for architects and specialist planners
- Managing and coordinating external technical project participants
- Project documentation
- Supporting contract negotiations and final contract drafting with the general contractor
Tasks after construction start:
- Ongoing collection of offers and commissioning of specialist engineers and experts
- Managing all technical participants: construction companies, planners, experts
- Coordinating amendments to the existing building permit and adjustments to the fire protection concept
- Managing and monitoring the construction schedule
- Making decisions and coordinating arising technical renovation issues
- Ensuring approval of all execution decisions by energy consultants and fire protection experts
