Developed a 100% e-mobility simulation model for a multi-generation residential complex with a shared underground garage for private use, including car sharing.
The complex has 70 units, 16 of which use electricity for hot water. The garage has 53 parking spaces for residents, three of which are reserved for stationary car-sharing vehicles.
Simulation model development:
Created a model for the charging needs of 53 privately used electric cars, three of which serve as sharing vehicles.
Built an Excel-based simulation to represent charging operations.
The simulation includes load management to ensure the building’s main power connection limit, set by household demand, is not exceeded. Other factors like building systems load, PV panels, or storage are ignored.
The client provided daily load curves in 5- and 15-minute intervals. The power connection was assumed to be 140 ± 20 kW.
Conclusions:
Derived general insights for electrifying private large garage parking based on the specific scenario simulation.
Implementation recommendations:
Presented current market solutions for electrifying the first parking spaces.
Consulting report and presentation:
Delivered a report documenting requirements for a BAFA-funded business development consulting service.
Presented a summary of simulation results to the Baugruppe members via video conference.

Aimed to make Hameln (60,000 inhabitants) a leader in e-mobility in Germany.
As council member and part of the black-green majority, called for an economic inventory of the city fleet in 2013.
Shifted from decentralized to centralized vehicle procurement.
