SDH Upgrade

• Plan, perform an upgrade of 2500 SDH multiplexer.

• Working in a European 3rd Level support team since 2003 as a member of the Technical Assistance Centre (TAC).
• Providing customer 3rd Level support based on ITIL for new installations and maintenance of live services.
• Providing 3rd Level support for Network Operation Centres, Network Maintenance, and Service Delivery teams; managing issues through to resolution and collaborating with vendors such as Marconi, Oscilloquartz and Siemens.
• Designing, supporting, and running basic configurations of Cisco technology products at a 2nd Level position; good knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol.
• Acting as Vendor Prime for an industrial partner, Horsebridge, on synchronization systems; handling technical tasks and budgeting for new network components.
• Conducting system upgrades on all network components and applying patches during scheduled windows to keep the network up to date.
• Advising sales teams in presenting new and custom solutions for major customers.
• Creating technical documentation and guides on using specific equipment or performing network upgrades safely without affecting customer services.
• Part of the on-call team 24/7 for all technical teams within the Colt network.
• Working with trouble ticket systems such as BMC Remedy and Siebel
