ITIL and ITSM Senior Consultant

Genii Software Group

It is a greenfield project focusing on centralizing the IT of a large international client, a fast-growing software group company with market-leading, entrepreneurial vertical software companies. To continue operations, a new service catalog needs to be created.

The specific responsibilities of internal teams or departments must be identified and their engagement in delivering IT services ensured.

The catalog must be user-friendly and allow easy navigation and understanding. Services and corresponding OLAs must be categorized by function, user target group, or criticality to optimize access and comprehension.

  • Definition of processes, escalation procedures, communication protocols, and all dependencies required to meet SLAs and ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Detailed description of each IT service, including its purpose, functions, and benefits.
  • Supplement service descriptions with corresponding OLAs, detailing operational workflows and responsibilities to support effective service delivery.
  • Creation of clear Service Level Agreements (SLAs) defining performance metrics (such as response times, availability, and resolution times for incidents or service requests).
  • Ensured alignment between IT service delivery and business expectations by creating OLAs that outline the internal operational processes required to meet these SLAs.
  • Identification and documentation of dependencies between services and underlying IT components.

E2E Business Program Manager

SAP

It is the global ATLAS implementation program (Automating the Total Customer Lifecycle Across SAP) in the Enterprise Cloud Services area, SAP's so-called "Private Cloud", with a focus also on the "RISE with SAP" migration and modernization program.

On the stakeholder side, the program has the ECS President as sponsor and executives from various board areas in the steering committee. The program's reporting line extends to the company board.

The main focus of the work is coordinating cross-cutting program topics between the program workstreams, which represent different board areas.

Problem and solution understanding, on both technical and procedural levels, is necessary to critically support and steer the program's content.

At the same time, very high communication skills are necessary to coordinate the globally operating business workstreams across the cross-cutting topics. The willingness to actively engage in coordination and to deal with content at the level of steering prioritization discussions is required.

Client Delivery Manager (CDM)

SAP

SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) is a global organization responsible for delivering cloud-hosted infrastructure, technical, and application-related managed services for SAP Private Cloud customers. The Client Delivery Manager is the main customer-facing representative of the SAP ECS organization, ensuring full delivery accountability for the engagement and customer satisfaction throughout the entire customer lifecycle.

The Client Delivery Manager works with SAP stakeholders and key customer stakeholders, oversees all aspects of the customer engagement from contract signing through the entire lifecycle, and provides expertise in trade, project, governance, innovation, and technical operations. The CDM is responsible for a successful customer engagement, delivering the contractually agreed ECS services and maximizing customer success across the entire portfolio of strategic engagements.

The CDM ensures appropriate governance is applied in managing the customer relationship, service adoption, and securing renewals, with a focus on customer success and enriching the customer experience.

  • Oversee the customer engagement journey and ensure effective governance and alignment across multiple internal and external stakeholders such as SAP Services, SAP Product Support, ECS partners and the customer's system integrators or other hosting partners
  • Actively oversee and drive the cloud transformation agenda with the customer's key stakeholders. Scope includes greenfield and brownfield S/4HANA implementations, "RISE with SAP" migrations and modernizations, ECC to S/4HANA migrations, on-premise ECC to cloud S/4HANA migrations, public to private cloud S/4HANA migrations (and vice versa), S/4HANA upscales and downscales, etc. SAP follows a "hyperscaler first" strategy, and almost all transformations take place in the hyperscaler cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Maximize customer success by helping manage complexity, ensuring stable operations, mitigating risk, reducing total cost of ownership, and supporting customers on their journey to the "intelligent enterprise"
  • Continuously tried new and better ways and proactively brought an expanded customer and risk management perspective into decision-making
  • Performed administrative tasks required to manage the engagement (staffing, reporting, and controlling)
  • Monitored and triggered proactive delivery of service plans and reactive support requests
  • Actively participated in governance meetings with customers and other SAP stakeholders (extended account team) and provided direction to the delivery teams involved
  • Ensured effective end-to-end customer engagement and governance was applied across the board, including commercial agreements (costs and profitability), customer expectations, delivery team success
  • Customer reporting and invoicing
  • Enabled delivery teams to achieve the best outcomes through proactive thinking and de-escalated critical customer situations
  • Established regular feedback on customer satisfaction
  • Enabled SAP delivery teams to protect and expand engagement scope, leverage cross-selling opportunities, and manage commercial change requests
  • Participated in internal team knowledge sharing and coached other team members
  • Developed strategy and managed a portfolio of initiatives to ensure programs are success-driven
  • Drove continuous process improvements for business agility and delivery governance
  • Led and executed a large strategic portfolio of initiatives across multiple customers
  • Ensured compliance with regulatory requirements for customers in multiple industries (banking, insurance, defense, military, critical infrastructure) such as GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, DORA, etc.

SAP

The SAP Cloud Network Infrastructure faces several challenges caused by gaps in lifecycle management combined with rapid growth.

Many network services need to be restructured because they don’t use the technologies and designs required for cloud operations and/or can’t handle the load and volume. In addition, the development of the SAP service portfolio requires new network services.

The program deals with upgrading the HEC infrastructure to the latest and most stable data center technology, stabilizing the current infrastructure, ensuring compliance of existing devices, and implementing a new design that meets HEC's growth requirements without compromising certification against the highest security and regulatory standards, requirements, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA).

The program aims to reduce computer failures by 20%, network outages by 70%, and human errors by 50%, which has a positive impact on service quality and S/4 HANA public and private cloud customers.

SAP

In recent years, SAP acquired several cloud software companies as part of its strategy to become a cloud software company. One of these acquisitions was Ariba Inc., which was integrated into the Business Network Group Board but still operates as a largely independent business unit. At its core, Ariba is the business network that connects suppliers with customers (buyers) and generates revenue through transaction fees on the platform.

As volume on the platform has grown, pricing model adjustments and/or changes to the contractual framework have become key drivers. Today, the Ariba Network is directly integrated into the SAP core ERP system and transfers invoice-relevant data through a custom staging area into the SAP ERP SD module (billing).

In the future, pricing and contract information (customer onboarding) will be handled in the existing SAP CRM system. Convergent Mediation is meant to offload the Ariba Network, provide more flexibility and scalability, and integrate into the SAP core ERP system.

In this project, the order-to-cash process for Ariba suppliers is redesigned and implemented.

I lead the "Business and IT Operations" workstream, responsible for analyzing current operating and support models and proposing new models for running the Ariba Network with integration into SAP's internal backend systems.

DCC is part of the Allianz Infrastructure Transformation (AIT) program, which was set up to build the digital infrastructure backbone. In addition to DCC, AIT includes three other pillars: Allianz Global Network (AGN), Information Security and Allianz Virtual Client (AVC). Together, these programs create the conditions to serve digital customers efficiently and securely.

The goal of the DCC program is to transform Allianz's current heterogeneous data center landscape into a globally harmonized private cloud infrastructure. As part of the program, a global, more cost-efficient IT infrastructure is being built that meets the highest quality and service standards and increases data security levels with innovative disaster recovery.

More than 140 local Allianz data centers are currently being consolidated worldwide into a total of five strategic locations in Europe (Paris and Frankfurt), North America (Phoenix and Edison) and Asia-Pacific (Singapore). After the successful completion of the program, 24,000 servers will have been consolidated.
