Never has Brand New Thinking, the motto of Kreativ Konzept, been more relevant than today. After two years of a global pandemic and radical changes in all aspects of private and professional life, brands and enterprises (both in the public as well as in the private sector) need to think differently.
It is my task to help navigate our agency as well as our clients through these challenging times. Focussing on our core expertise - creativity and conceptional strength - and combining those with digital and new work approaches and tools, we can help our clients to stay relevant in a fast-changing market environment.
Feel free to get in touch to share the journey as a client or a coworker - we're always looking for more people with digital expertise!
Ihre Apotheken is a unique brand in the German pharmacy market. On a single platform, Ihre Apotheken represents more than a third of all German pharmacies - including every last product they offer. Medication can be ordered easily and will be delivered to your doorstep - in most cases on the same day. A logistical masterpiece that can only be achieved through close cooperation between many stakeholders and that needs to be coordinated by a wide range of systems.
To stay ahead in the volatile and competitive market of online pharmacies, Ihre Apotheken needs to focus on UX and technological excellence above all things. But when COVID hit, the operation needed to be scaled - and fast, as demand for online-medication purchases soared. Being part of the Product Management team, my role was to define and implement processes that allowed development to move fast while still focusing on quality and what's best for the user.
My main responsibility involved the planning and coordination of the creation of the completely new Ihre Apotheken App. With skyrocketing demands, the time window for app creation was less than six months, but with a combined effort we were able to not only deliver in time but create outstanding results. Not only do Usability Tests show great appreciation for the app UX, the success story is also proven in reality as relative app conversion rate outperforms web conversion by a wide margin.
With around 9m members, Barmer is the second-largest public German health insurance. For effective guidance of the website's performance optimization process, Barmer implemented an agile workflow. Having overseen this process on the agency side as Senior Project Manager while still working for Grey, I was more than happy to join the Barmer team afterward on a freelance basis.
During the 12+ month engagement for Barmer, I coordinated the efforts of various stakeholders both internally and externally to create the best possible solution. This addressed terms of essential UX optimization as well as in terms of a complete technological overhaul, addressing issues from accessibility to SEO. As Product Owner for the API and interface team, my main responsibility was ensuring a smooth transition to the current version of CoreMedia CMS as well as to coordinate validity of relevant internal and external interfaces.
During my time at WW, I did not only get the chance to learn about the wonderful WW family, but I also had the chance to work with both creative and media agencies to ensure outstanding creative results. One of the key objectives of this freelance position was to maximize the impact of WW's Winter Campaign, aligning and optimizing media spendings in the digital realm, and most of all, to achieve measurable success in key KPIs such as visibility and conversion throughout the DACH region.
Having started in November, it was of the utmost importance to start off quickly, not only because Winter is the busiest and most important time of the year in the dieting industry, but also because the launch of the pre-Winter campaign was only days ahead and the Winter campaign needed to be finished within weeks of the engagement.
During my time at WW, I learned a lot about Media Planning - orchestrating, optimizing, and pivoting international campaigns on a tight schedule with daily performance reviews is a dream come true for anybody who loves data-driven decision making and impactful advertising. My freelance engagement was prolonged twice, and I was happy to return to WW a year later with a focus on ecommerce.

Having worked on countless campaigns, consulted clients both in B2B as B2C and taking responsibility for some of GREY's top-tier projects and clients, I was lucky enough to be asked to join GREYadventures, GREY's newly founded business consulting and UX unit.
Putting creativity and great user experience at the center of any approach to digital transformation, GREYadventures was a pioneer in bringing a digital, customer-centered mindset to the advertising industry.
After about a year of successful campaigns, web relaunches, and exciting projects, I was elevated to Integrated Project Manager to stress my ability to consult clients on 360° campaigns working alongside some of the greatest advertisers I have had the pleasure to meet during my professional career.
Working for clients such as Ledlenser, BARMER, Weber Grill, Volvo, and so many more, this role allowed me to understand marketing needs from a more holistic point of view, to interconnect platforms, channels, and user journeys, always aiming to bring a digital mindset to any campaign, project, or challenge.
After finishing my studies in Bonn as one of the top students of that year, I decided to follow my dream of working in a big advertising agency (and yes, that's when Mad Men was still on air). GREY was and still is one of the most important names in both German and international advertising landscape and I was lucky enough to get a job as Junior Project Manager.
After finishing my vocational training, I decided to start studying and I was lucky enough to be accepted to the Media Sciences field at Bonn University along with only a small group of students.
Not wanting to lose any of the skills that I gained during my vocational training, I continued working for a virtual agency on a freelance basis, focusing on clients such as McDonald's Kinderhilfe (Ronald McDonald House Charities) as well as on reorganizing internal projects such as Seen.de, the biggest German website regarding leisure time at lakes. Additionally, I was able to take on other clients from the insurance industry, gaining additional experience in projects of my own.
This is where I learned the trade: My vocational training at a virtual agency in Bonn helped me to understand digital communication both in theory and practice. Having been lucky enough to be mentored by two outstanding communication experts, both also teaching at RSAK (Rhein-Sieg-Akademie für Realistische Bildende Kunst und Design), I was able to spend a vocational training that prepared me to encounter virtually anything in the digital world.
Working as a promoter for well-known tech companies such as ASUS (representing ASUS consumer products with a focus on computer hardware twice on the biggest German tech fairtrade Cebit) or Logitech was my first real- world job experience. Not for nothing: Communicating with over hundred tech- savvy visitors at Cebit each day - no better way to lose any shyness in talking to strangers.
