My professional career began in 1982 with training as a vehicle mechanic, followed by seven years of assembly work in various areas of Daimler AG. In 1994 I took on a foreman role in door assembly, including various picking and pre-assemblies. In 1997 I moved into planning, where I spent over 19 years in different roles. These included efficiency and effectiveness projects, launch planning for various model series and optimization, machine planning, employee training, and projects of different focus. Since 2015 I have been working as a consultant in the CKD area (overseas plants in Brazil, India, Russia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia) at Daimler AG. The focus is both on optimizing production using Lean methods and on implementing industrial engineering in the plants.
