In the capacity as an SAP ARIBA Consultant (Upstream and Downstream) I support Umicore's German and Danish user community. Local Ariba and SAP users (buyers, requesters and approvers) beneift from my full life cycle procurement expertise and support. In this capacity, I have frequent interaction with Procurement leadership and team members and suppliers to help them understand the Ariba way of working, to solve issues and to train the users. My role is embedded as part of the Global Procurement and Transportation Excellence team (PTX). As a member of bp's Global Business Services for Finance and Procurement, I am leading the Germany deployment of an invoice solution composed of SAP ERP, SRM and Ariba/ SAP Business Network systems interfacing to one integrated solution. The project team values my steer during Fit-to-Template, user testing, supplier enablement, cutover preparations, change management and training as well as early life support phases, serving as a single point of contact for process, system and change benefit questions. For our client and our global program management, I am the voice and ear on the ground carefully managing the alignment of standardization goals with business requirements.
Responsible for leading mid-market Ariba implementations. Applying standard SAP implementation methodologies and proprietary best practices, I guided two clients through their respective Ariba SLP and Sourcing greenfield implementations. Leading a small implementation team, we realized complex customer requirements building SAP (ECC and S4Hana) integrated Ariba suites interfacing with SLP Registration and Qualification and Guided Sourcing solutions. In these two projects, I took on both the roles as project lead and solution architect, delivering the template configuration and some of the integration set up. Our clients value my flexible and customer-focussed approach and CNT's competence around integration requirements. Beyond my client engagement responsibilities, I enjoyed mentoring CNT's young Ariba professionals.
In several SAP P2P implementations (Ariba Spend Management for BP's UK businesses and ECC for Middle East), I represented AirBP's interests and ensured that their Source-to-Pay (S2P) requirements and KPIs were met. My team and I were managing user acceptance tests, contract and master data migration, training delivery, supplier enablement and comms, buying channel analysis, Guided Buying configuration and the provision of procurement guidance to our Global Business Services (GBS) teams. Additionally, I was member of a committee that prepared the next S2P deployments for additional AirBP countries as part of a multi-year, country-by-country roadmap and engaged in pitches with several prospects.
Reporting to the Strategy & Excellence Director in Europe, I supported the development and execution of the strategy for business and IT requirements, and the design and delivery for Procurement processes and systems in SAP Ariba and SalesForce. Working with a large and disperse network of stakeholders across the region, my role interfaced to key strategic programmes (e.g. Global SAP Deployment) and BP's IT and Global Business Services functions, ensuring European and local requirements are met. In a transforming organization I provided Sourcing, Contract & Supplier Management solutions (Ariba and SalesForce) and process expertise for a successful transition to a high-performance operating model with new service delivery, optimized processes, and a fully integrated Source-to-Pay system suite. In this role, I was responsible for the deployment and maintenance of a global, integrated Source-to-Contract template, a Category Management portal and a Center of Excellence (CoE) team for BP Downstream's eSourcing activities and related performance monitoring. With my Sourcing, Auction, and Category Management process expertise and my deep knowledge of our SAP Ariba and SalesForce solutions, Downstream PSCM transitioned to a best-in-class operating model that has significantly improved its ROI.
As part of the global central Downstream procurement team, I delivered direction, sourcing excellence and best practice solutions to our strategic procurement teams so to set standards and system-enable BP Downstream's common processes for their Source-to-Contract lifecycle. My responsibilities expanded so to lead a team of Sourcing advisors and look after a group-wide global stakeholder community. My team and I designed and deployed an eSourcing Centre of Excellence; advised in best-in-class tendering, auction and negotiation strategies and templates; and led SAP Ariba Sourcing systems implementation projects.

As a senior consultant I provided Sourcing expertise and delivered program management approaches for clients that are world-leaders in the telecommunications (Deutsche Telekom) and financial services industry (Zurich Financial Services). These program management approaches aimed to increase utilization and transfer ESourcing best practice and systems knowledge into the client procurement organization. As part of these programs I delivered complete sourcing event management services for eRFXs and reverse auctions in SAP Ariba to buyers and procurement leadership including change management concepts and sourcing trainings, e.g. applying advanced auction theories in procurement settings. Success of the programs were mainly measured in terms of $ eSourcing throughput. Apart from the program offerings, procurement organizations also benefited from consulting me in the preparation of complex negotiations, selecting/implementing an SRM solution or building complimentary support services infrastructure.

Design change management and coaching measures to increase adoption of Ariba Sourcing solution in all global procurement teams. I provided systems and procurement expertise as a Senior Consultant for Selected Services and designed and implemented program management approaches aiming to increase the adoption of and transfer ESourcing best practice and systems knowledge into the client organization. Project clients used either a Pool4Tool, Ariba, Emptoris or IBX solution. Furthermore, on projects with automotive Tier-1 procurement organizations, I led our implementation team when gathering and helping define client requirements and monitoring the implementation progress. I also helped building interfaces between the SAP ERP and the Pool4Tool modules according to customer requirements and gained valuable insight into supplier evaluation and data management collaborative processes by Procurement, Quality Management and Finance departments. In addition, I was responsible to prepare and negotiate proposals and SOWs with prospects for Pool4Tool's Sourcing solutions and services. Previous to my work at Selected Services, I joined Ariba as an Engagement Manager in the automotive OEM and Tier 1 as well as the manufacturing systems engineering sector helping blue-chip clients like General Motors adopt e-sourcing tools and processes for their overall spend portfolio. My responsibilities included driving the utilization of sourcing tools, consulting in sourcing and auction strategies, and developing sourcing program plans within the procurement organization. I increased my focus on leading strategic sourcing project teams in the tier 1 and manufacturing systems engineering sector, monitoring and assuring high quality delivery from data collection through collection of quotes until the award decision.

I worked for Portum AG as a Senior Event Executive. During my tenure, I planned and managed customer projects, advised on tendering and auction strategies for Deutsche Telekom, Siemens, BMW, Axel Springer, Tchibo, Statoil, and others when conducting online auctions and RFPs. Prior to this consulting role, I was member of Portum's key account team providing market analyses, back office tasks, preparation of acquisition and various strategic alliance management projects. My diversified experience together with my international education, have allowed me to quickly diagnose the sources of resistance that multinational organizations face in implementing spend management initiatives.
