Managing Director

• Responsible for the HR Shared Service: personnel administration, payroll, time management, organizational management, travel expense management, company pension scheme, and occupational health service for approx. 3,500 employees of the VARTA Group in Germany
• Responsible for the HR IT systems of the VARTA Group and for standardizing and optimizing the HR process and IT landscape as well as adapting the HR operating model in terms of HR services
• Close coordination with Finance & Controlling, Corporate IT, business stakeholders, and works councils
• Leading 18 employees at 4 sites across two collective bargaining areas
• Reporting to the CHRO of the VARTA Group

Projects:

• Aligning parallel-running SAP systems after the merger in preparation for the S4/HANA migration
• Optimizing HR processes and the operating model
• Implementing ESS/MSS time tracking on an FIORI basis at one site for approx. 700 employees

• Project member of the core team for the HR transformation – operating model and building the HR Shared Service Center, global process standardization, Workday system integration, and ServiceNow as an enabler for the German HR Shared Service unit
• Globally responsible test lead for the international Workday system integration for around 33,000 employees worldwide
• Developing, implementing and executing the global test strategy for 36 global HR standard processes as well as a new employee master data model and IT interfaces
• Responsible test lead for the German ServiceNow system integration for around 14,000 employees in Germany
• Developing, implementing and executing the test strategy for 25 German HR standard processes
• Carrying out a subproject: PPM documentation and creating training materials: External Provider Order Process Governance
• Project controlling and billing of internal and external project costs to Zeiss subsidiaries as well as central ordering of external companies for Zeiss IT projects

• End-to-end review of all interfaces between systems and upstream agreements
• Using system-generated configuration data to map processes as BPMN (MS Visio)
• Conducting interviews and verifications to fully capture handover points between systems and upstream and downstream subprocesses
