For the initial setup and production start of a tolling device with connectivity units for trucks and buses (27h/week).

• Leading around 20 stakeholders such as hardware, software and mechanical development, prototyping, purchasing and production with the goal to certify the new product for the first customer for road use before SOP (CE, Bluetooth SIG, etc.).
• The challenges were the very short timeframe and changing conditions for the first validation before market launch.
• Schedule tracking with coordination.
• Prototype planning with procurement and technical support for purchasing.

• Creating and maintaining project plans with documentation of work packages as well as hardware tests according to current development and procurement status.
• Coordination of prototypes for the inverter hardware and test team including the procurement logistics chain.
• Organizing and supporting regular reviews with alignment of content and schedules with platform and customer projects.
• Documenting change management in coordination with mechanical engineering, hardware and purchasing. Ensuring traceability of requirements.

• Responsible for customer communication with external clients.
• Responsible for customer deliveries in terms of quality and schedule, for approvals according to applicable requirements and ISO 26262 with Automotive Safety Integrity Level D (ASIL-D).
• Responsible for the project budget of 7 million and for cost reduction measures.
• Goal-oriented leadership of a multicultural team under constantly changing conditions and a limited timeframe.
• Successful renegotiation of milestones. By reorganizing work packages, software deliveries met the required timeline along with the safety requirements.
• Support of test management and traceability of requirements.
• Leading project teams (up to 20 people) at different locations. Coordinating sub-projects in requirements management, inverter software, verification, and functional safety.
• Supporting the introduction of the agile lean management system in the project team.

• Consulting services for drive systems and sustainable energy systems. Examples: building a 10 kW piston-driven combined heat and power plant to use waste heat; advising on measurement systems for emission testing and certification for the first commercially used 300 hp diesel marine engine.
• Advising on future business and decisions for companies, achieved by implementing tailored visions. Market study and business development: Market entry study for an industrially used combined heat and power engine, Market South Africa.
• R&D in e-mobility: creating an electric drive for a surfboard from concept to prototype.
• Quality assurance of Magneti Marelli engine control units and throttle bodies at VW South Africa plant: primary customer interface for all quality issues related to hardware, software calibration, and system integration.

• Business development and acquisition of projects with new customers. Introduction of new processes.
• Project leadership with technical and commercial responsibility.
