As the person responsible for HR in your company, you face the challenge of offering attractive benefits to position your company appealingly for both current and prospective employees.
Company benefits can go beyond bike leasing, fruit baskets, and company pension schemes.
- Many employees have personal concerns, such as caregiving situations within the family (children, their own parents, or other relatives).
- They often don't know enough about what payments they can expect in retirement. This uncertainty causes a lot of stress for many people.
- They worry about how to relieve their relatives. Whether it's for a caregiving situation, securing decision-making power through legal documents (like a power of attorney, advance directive, and will), or dealing with issues like digital legacy (this sets out how digital data should be handled after death. In my view, this is a topic that is becoming ever more important.)
- Emotions often come into play in these situations, and because of poor preparation they usually don't get the space they need, which makes difficult scenarios even more complex. Good preparation can help relieve employees.
- Another very important topic for SMEs and large corporations is international specialists. Here I provide support primarily in sharing knowledge about social security contributions, the pension system, and planning for the financial future in Germany.
