Context:
Hired as second person in the HR Ops team to help building stable and scalable HR processes and administer the company’s growth from 160 to 560+ employees, >70 nationalities.
Headquartered in Berlin, subsidiaries in EMEA + APAC, in-office.
Reporting to Head of HR.
People Operations Management:

Craft and manage the employee lifecycle (e.g. *boarding processes, contract-, document-, and absence management, HRIS, labor law and occupational health and safety compliance). For example, onboarded a HC of 100 Customer Service (CS) employees by myself in Q1 +Q2 2017.

Lead and facilitate the company-wide monthly 2-day onboarding event ‘Welcome Days’, 56 participants in peak month.

Lead pre-payroll for 450+ HC, operational reporting for Finance.

Maintain the virtual share pool, conduct regular company-wide trainings, implement a virtual share tool, provide reports to investors, C-level and external auditors.

Manage a team of HR working students and interns.

Immigration + visa/work permit applications, relocation processes.
Business Partnering:

Partner with and advise 10 people managers and workforce management of the CS department (Associate TL to Head of CS).

Conduct a set of training sessions for people managers of CS, e.g. labor law, working time act, virtual share program, payroll, ...

Accomplish performance and feedback cycles and TD for CS.

Execute multiple employee engagement and retention measures across CS, help drive a +200% increase in tenure of staff YTY.
