Test Manager

Since the end of 2023, I have been involved as a test manager in the further development of the standard software “G2VB+” from the vendor OTS for the City of Hamburg. The software, already used for building inspection procedures, is being expanded with specialized procedures like special use procedures as well as route and excavation procedures. At the same time, a platform is being developed where further procedures can be configured. My tasks include coordinating sprint-related tests, release and acceptance tests, and interface tests. Additionally, I partly run interface tests myself and contribute to the development of the interfaces. A special challenge is coordinating the 8 district offices in Hamburg, each with different work processes, and ensuring their approval for the release tests. In addition there are tight schedules and many alignments with various stakeholders, which require high flexibility and precise communication. The test team has 5 people, and the development team has around 30 employees.

The Innogy website platform is being moved from an old CMS to a new one. Applications and websites of Innogy and partner sites are migrated and the standard CMS “Sitecore” is customized to Innogy’s needs.

The in-house application (based on MS Access) for managing garnishments and protected accounts is to be replaced by a standard application. The managed application must be connected to the bank’s host systems and the business areas’ special requirements implemented in the standard application. All legacy data was migrated. In a second step, digitization topics were implemented (introducing pre-scanning of documents, fully automatic OCR-automated archiving).
