The Transrapid was developed by Siemens AG and ThyssenKrupp Transrapid. Activities in the test and validation area included designing, programming, and testing software components for creating the computer model, generating user interfaces in QT based on a custom QT description language, and for component test environments of the test setup. In application development, the focus was on reengineering, code stabilization (Insure), automation of the software generation process, and remote control of the decentralized control computer.
