In my current position I am focusing on applied plant biodiversity. The description of biodiversity is mainly based on one unit of nature - species. I aim to understand the different species concepts in regard to formation, change and relation of these units. Experience from this basic research will be used to establish alternative authentication methods for particular groups and depending on the kind of plant material can be based on morphological, anatomical or genetic markers.
