My passion throughout my whole career has always been the fund and asset management industry. I love and have extensive experience in setting-up, (re-)structuring and implementing investments structures (platforms, new funds) & investment products and its related governance, controls, processes and procedures. Next to that I have specialized myself in connecting, formalizing and controlling the external and internal service providers assigned and stakeholder management. Recently my wife and I wanted to do good and have an impact and launched our company TogetherForTheBetterGood.
My career has developed both nationally and internationally. I had positions with an international audit firm (Big 4), fiduciary-, fund- and asset management industry service providers, and international asset managers. I worked for 20 years at PGGM, the assigned fiduciary & asset manager of mainly PFZW. My last position was product - and fund management, whereby product development and implementation took place by a multidisciplinary project team (front, back office, IT and external service providers). Before this position I was heading a fund- and financial accounting team of 16 specialists for all the custody related funds & mandates, +€ 180 billion (> 100 portfolios). As head of Hedge Funds Operations, I was responsible for the operational management of the (Irish based) Hedge Funds platform, operating 22 hedge funds, around € 4 billion. All services of the platform were outsourced, after the successful launch it needed to be made AIMFD compliant, but then it was forced to be liquidated. As Head I was responsible for contracting, managing, and controlling all the external and internal service providers. It needs to be noted that I was the first fund (of fund) manager (of a retail and institutional funds) of PGGM and I was the co-architect of the institutional fund structure of PGGM.
Since March 2021 my wife and I launched our own company where SDGs and IDGs come together. TFTBG currently offers program management and financial structuring services related to the Blue Carbon Governance Framework, which controls the inherent risks attached to the Blue Carbon/Nature-projects and respective Credits/financial products in practice. TFTBG offers leadership & inner development journeys to leaders in order to enable them to implement the U-Theory and SDG’s with passion, inner & intrinsic motivation, heart, intuition and compassion.
