The DAT (Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH) provides services and data for the automotive industry, with a focus on vehicle valuation (e.g., residual value calculations), damage estimation (software like SilverDAT), and technical vehicle data. Insurers use DAT for claims settlement, while repair shops rely on it for repair cost calculation. Additionally, DAT supports vehicle trade through residual value forecasts, market analysis, and digital tools for vehicle management. As a partner of the automotive sector, it promotes digitalization and optimizes processes in workshops, car dealerships, and manufacturers. Gold.dat.de is a platform for managing claims. My responsibilities included quality assurance through manual testing and the automation of key processes using the AI tool ASKUI.
Manual tests: Claim setup: validation of login, input masks, document uploads, and claim number generation. Forwarding: checking data transmission to insurance companies, status changes, and notifications. Repair cost calculation: reviewing the logic for repair and replacement costs and the correct generation of reports. Parts selection: validating the spare parts assignment by vehicle manufacturer and direct ordering functions. Logging: ensuring complete and correct documentation of all processes.
Automation with ASKUI: Test Automation: Automating tests for login, claim creation, calculations, and parts selection. ASKUI for User Interaction Simulation: Using ASKUI to simulate user interactions (e.g., drag-and-drop). CI/CD Integration: Incorporating tests into CI/CD pipelines for early error detection.
Executed over 50 test scenarios and identified critical defects.
Reduced test time by 50% through automation.
Improved platform quality and user-friendliness.

Test automation of the web presence for internal queries regarding Europe-wide searches in the police environment. Creation of a framework for automating regression tests on the GUI. Modular structure of libraries with functional building blocks for reuse in different scenarios and data transfer via Excel files from the ALM module, resources. The artifacts stored there are linked with the UFT test cases. The data in Excel is line by line, each representing a test case. This allows different variations of tests to be created via a script. The respective entry in Excel then controls the process, thus constituting a Data-Driven Testing (DDT) approach. Night runs from ALM on multiple environments and evaluation the following day. Documentation with screenshots controlled from UFT and embedded for review in the Result Viewer. High performance through continuous optimization of scripts. Close collaboration with all parties involved (developers) and management in an Agile environment.
Establishment of QA services with automated tests for the BKA WEB ServiceDesk.

Execution and evaluation of manual to automated test cases. Creation and embedding into UFT as scripted modules within a framework, including the execution of regression tests using various software testing tools (Micro Focus, UFT (14.53, 15), and ALM, Excel).
Automation of regression tests, including integration into the system landscape. Continuous professional development. Handover to the project team and documentation regarding project status. Use of descriptive programming in UFT together with VBS, ALM, Excel, and scripting for dynamic object recognition of the SAP FIN application in subsystems (Java) as end-to-end.
Further development of product quality.

As an external employee in the test automation area for bahn.de, tasks included test execution with Microfocus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and test evaluation, as well as the further development, maintenance, and adaptation of test cases and the underlying framework functions.
Further developed the test execution documentation in ALM and improved or completely resolved various programming problems in test automation.
Analysis and further development of the existing framework. Adaptation of artifacts as VB scripts to changes within the test environment, including documentation and evaluation.
Execution of tests using Microfocus UFT and Application Lifecycle Management (TestPlan | TestLab) of ALM. Continuous optimization and adjustment of test cases from the suite of test cases.
Automated generation of test reports and documentation, including screenshots taken during the runtime of the AUT (Application Under Test). The GUI objects of the HTML application bahn.de are directly accessed through specific functions (Set, Click, etc.), without utilizing a repository.
The test workflows mimic the behavior of customers using bahn.de, for example:
Connection Search: Simulating the process of searching for train connections.
Ticket Booking: Automating the ticket purchase process.
Payment Module Usage: Interacting with payment modules like PayPal.
Successful implementation of test cases for automation using UFT and nightly execution followed by analysis in a complex environment.
