What? Amongst Plebs is a unique and bitcoin inspired streetwear brand - without the orange logo everyone knows. All products are sustainably sourced and aspire to stand out in the busy market of bitcoin merchandise.

Objective? I want to use the brand as my creative playing & learning field and help spread Bitcoin anecdotes, stories, as well as Bitcoin knowledge with the help of unique streetwear.

Achievements:

  • Fully functional store with 40+ products and almost 100 successfully sold items within the first 4 weeks post launch.

After nearly seven years in Dubai, I took time off to collect experiences.

Game drives in Africa, wine tastings in the Douro Valley, climbing sand dunes in Namibia's Sossusvlei.

Product & Pricing Manager (Teamlead)

What? My team of three was responsible for the entire product life-cycle management of all compact cars, SUVs as well as niche vehicles (e.g. AMG GT and SL) in the middle-east region (10 markets).

Objective? Keep deadlines for all product launches to ensure production & timely delivery to the region were never jeopardised. Ensure entire portfolio is competitively priced to maximize volume as well as profit opportunities.

Achievements:

  • Taking over a Pricing team and successfully merging pricing-, with the product team. Hiring and training new team members that quickly performed on high level. Successfully accompanying promotion of two team members within two years.
  • Pricing process improvement lead, subsequent revamp of internal pricing processes, transforming internal pricing into a more lean, faster and market focused process.
  • Successful launch of G-Class & facilitating VIP delivery of first production vehicles globally to the royal family of Dubai.
  • Merging formerly excel based workflow onto PowerBi. Creating pricing database in order to have pricing information for strategic decisions at hand 24/7.

What? Pro-active life-cycle management for entire Audi model range as Product Manager for 10 markets.

Objective?: Securing successful launch & opportune life cycle management for up to 20+ carlines. Developing long-term strategies for competitive market positioning of the entire product range, monitoring price and strategic positioning versus the main competitors in the market.

Achievements:

  • Integrating bigger product change mid life-cycle to secure volume. Pushed a proposal all the way through headquarter to improve challenging marketposition of A4 post launch. After integration sales picked up and volume forecasts were reached.
  • Successful implementation of Audi line strategy in the middle east region to simplify product offer.

What? Securing production for designated regional offices and supporting partners in the region with timely and correct order placement

Objective? Support target achievement for sales and sufficient production pipeline. Commit to no supply side issues of weekly production. Highlight shortcomings such as missing parts, issues at factory, legal issues blocking production, technical issues blocking production and present solutions to overcome shortcomings.

Achievements:

  • Introduction of pro active management reports. Flagging production shortcomings that jeapordized achievement of yearly targets. Finding work arounds for those shortcomings.
  • Unique engine variation had to be implemented mid lifecycle due to tight CO2 emission targets. Successful steering of production and logistics until products arrived at warehouse for affected market.
