Martijn Imrich is a skilled Data Driven Entrepreneur, firmly rooted in the field of Data even before it became a hype.
He implemented several Data warehouses and advised on many more. Martijn understands both the modern Datawarehouse (automation) world as the new analytics and data Platforms.
In 2014 it all came together when he created the multimillion earning Sales Predictor for the well-known staffing multinational Randstad. Thinking out of the box, Martijn combined six years of sales data together with economic indicators and other (not to be disclosed here) data. The predictor was embedded in a Sales App that Martijn named “Sales Navigator” and sales conversion tripled and earned the Randstad multiple millions in multiple countries.
Based on the success at Randstad, Martijn was asked by the young startup Xomnia to join them as Senior Partner in 2015. Together they pushed the growth of the Data Science startup Xomnia from 12 to 80 FTE within three years, thereby achieving the FD Growth Award in both 2017 and 2018. Martijn raised both the Educational and the Data Engineering Units of Xomnia before selling his shares in 2018.
Martijn is equally comfortable with both business executives as with the technically gifted Data Engineers and Data Scientists of Xomnia. He is still in touch with many of them.
After selling his shares in Xomnia, Martijn helped ABN Amro to build its Data Capabilities to support the growing number of machine learning models and the growing data demands of the regulators. Thereafter he helped Pension fund PGGM/PFZW to monetize their data via an HR Portal. Currently he creates the Strategic Roadmap on Data & Analytics at Ahold for the Gall & Gall label. Martijn typically seeks opportunities to fuel business ambitions with Data.
Over the years, Martijn has shared his vast experience in roles as Academic Director at Tilburg University (TIAS) and guest lecturer at JADS.
