English Language Learner 101 Course Participant

I have seven years of experience presenting and facilitating literacy-focused professional development for educators through the American Federation of Teachers, the Newburgh Teacher Association, and the Hudson Valley Writing Project, an affiliate of the National Writing Project. I have organized and led a variety of programs for educators, both virtually and in person on topics ranging from teaching diverse populations and supporting immigrant students to teaching grammar. Compassionate and driven, I am a teacher-leader with a growth mindset and proven ability to establish supportive and respectful working relationships, as evidenced by my position as Lead Teacher for the entire ENL department.
