Summary
I have 15 years of experience in translation, transcreation and proofreading, and 3 years in interpretation (one year in in-person interpretation and two years in phone interpretation as the section chief).
Since resigning my full-time job and becoming a freelance-based translator and content writer in September of 2021, I have started to venture into a wide variety of industries and have participated in a number of projects, translating and proofreading documents, websites, and apps in the fields of energy, law, cryptocurrency, marketing, beauty, and many others.
I have collaborated with a number of companies, including Binance which is the largest cryptocurrency exchange platform in the world, Tridge which is the world's leading data and media company in Food & Agricultures, and MyBest Inc., a well-established Japanese online magazine company. I have also worked on translations and SEO optimizations of Amazon products.
From April to October 2022, I worked for RENNGA. Inc. which is an IT consulting & cyber security company as a lead translator (a freelance 6-month contract). I did translations for their clients' websites (not only the production site but including admin and development/dev sites), legal content (Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, etc.) as well as internal and external documents.
From November 2022 to July 2023, I worked for Vector Technology Solutions Ltd., New Zealand's cloud solution company especially catered for the energy industry, as one of the lead translators on a freelance basis. I have translated and proofread various energy industry documents including RFI and RFP, and I was promoted to the Translator Lead position in three months, being assigned to oversee the team’s progress and proofread their work for final review by the client.
Since March 2023, I have also been working with a marketing company Webselenese Ltd. as a freelance translator and proofreader. I translate or proofread VPN and cyber security software-related articles as well as their clients’ websites (which are IT product review sites) by focusing on SEO keywords and meta tags (updating their web pages).
Besides translation projects, I also have experience working for two AI technology companies, Outlier.AI and DeepL, participating in various projects to help train generative artificial intelligence models to not only become better Japanese writers and speakers, but to also produce factually accurate information by creating various types of prompts and reviewing the responses and making improvements.
