Ronja (Lars) Wilkening

In the first few years of my work as an iOS developer, I was able to gain broad experience through various projects. Game development allowed me to create entertaining applications and deepened my understanding of interactive games on iOS platforms.

Another project focused on event solutions, which helped me expand my software skills in the context of live events and interactive experiences. The focus here was on integrating mobile applications into event processes and creating impressive user experiences.

Another focus was on IoT development, where I dealt with the integration of software into physical devices and the networking of IoT devices. This not only deepened my technical skills, but also my expertise in the dynamically developing IoT area.

Particularly noteworthy is the international IoT project, in which several international teams from different companies were involved in a Scrum of Scrum. In my role as Product Owner Proxy, I ensured communication with the other teams and the client. This task required not only technical know-how, but also project management and intercultural communication skills.

These diverse projects sharpened my skills as a software developer and enabled me to act not only technically, but also as an effective project manager and communicator. Each project deepened my profile as an expert and my enthusiasm for innovative technologies.

During my academic training, I took on a committed role in various projects, which allowed me to deepen my knowledge and skills in different areas. An outstanding example of this is my active participation in the organization of an important conference, where I was not only able to demonstrate my organizational skills, but also gained valuable insights into the structured design of events.

At the same time, I expanded my expertise at the Chair of Virtual Realities by working intensively on the development of a hardware-related system for the simultaneous operation of depth cameras. This project allowed me to deepen my knowledge of spatial sensing and image processing technologies, allowing me to contribute to research in the field of virtual realities.

Another significant aspect of my studies was my role as a tutor for the Programming Languages and Software Design course. In this position, I not only had the opportunity to consolidate my in-depth understanding of the subject matter, but also to develop my teaching skills. Passing on my knowledge to subsequent cohorts of the course enabled me to have a positive impact on the learning community and support the next generation of students in their academic careers.

In summary, through my active participation in projects, my organizational skills in organizing conferences, my technological expertise at the Chair of Virtual Realities and my pedagogical role as a tutor, I have developed a comprehensive and versatile profile that reflects my passion for the field as well as my contribution to the academic community.
