Summary

The main goal of my research is to understand the mechanisms by which the immune system regulates inflammatory responses and bioenergetic processes in cardiometabolic/neoplastic diseases and CNS pathologies. During my career, I have employed a wide range of genetic tools and advanced cellular/molecular biology techniques to discover the roles of immune cells in the aforementioned disorders, with the ultimate goal of developing novel therapeutics.

With > 20 years of academic and biotech experience in the interdisciplinary fields of inflammation, neuroendocrinology, and oncology, I am currently looking for opportunities to contribute further to cutting-edge research in biomedical sciences.
