Extracurricular intern

Graduate in Chemistry from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), with complementary training in biomedicine and research experience in nanoparticle-based therapeutic systems. Currently, my main interests focus on the synthesis and study of new compounds with antiviral potential, particularly organometallic complexes, as well as the use of cage-type ionic liquids and computational modeling tools. My scientific competencies include a solid foundation in the synthesis and characterization of organic and inorganic compounds, experience in report writing and literature review, proficiency in Word and Excel, familiarity with scientific search tools (SciFinder), and knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices I and II: risk prevention and teamwork in multidisciplinary research environments.

Graduate in Chemistry. I have completed two years of extracurricular internships in the Department of Biochemistry, participating in the development of solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) with biomedical applications. My Bachelor's Thesis focused on the design of antiviral organometallic complexes based on ruthenium, and my Master's Thesis on the use of lipid nanoparticles as carriers for the combined delivery of antibiotics against bacterial infections. I have additional training in hazardous waste management. My goal is to continue my education and pursue an academic and research-oriented career within the university field.
