  • Project (2015 – 2017, Client: Allianz Life, Germany): Implementation of a new actuarial and risk capital calculation system developed by the client. This included model validation and IMAP with the regulator, implementing new reporting processes, project management (liaising with IT, asset and risk management), and developing new methodological approaches (e. g. a path dependent inflation approach).
  • Project (2016 – 2020, Client: B Capital, Switzerland): Review of valuations of investment projects.
  • Project (2015, Client: Allianz SE, Germany): Redesign of MCEV methodology, based on a SII MVBS approach. Performed an extensive gap analysis and resolved these with stakeholders from actuarial, risk, accounting and asset management. This included rewriting the entire MCEV methodology manual.
  • Project (2014, Client: Aegon Group, Netherlands): Acted as a senior consultant in the Group Risk Reporting team. Responsibilities included risk capital reporting (validating and analyzing results, responding to requests for advice from local units, writing reports to management and regulator), developing validation tools in Excel, and improving processes and documentation. Methodological work included gap assessments, recommending upgrades, responding to requests from internal stakeholders and regulator (as part of the IMAP process). Identified a major gap in the currency risk aggregation module and provided instructions on how to close it. Coached junior staff in the effective use of tools (including Excel), processes, controls and documentation.
