I am a positive minded mechanical design engineering professional with thirteen years working experience. What drives me at work is the desire to create, to see an impossible assignment unravel itself layer after layer until what's left is done. To simplify mechanisms or tasks you do and make them more efficient. And I enjoy helping others solve problems. Tremendously.
What moves me privately is my love for music, mainly metal, but also chamber music and opera. I enjoy dancing, the only sport that you do with someone else instead of against him. After ten years, I recently replaced fencing with Kendo. I love how it is basically the same, a duel with swords. But it is completely different in that it requires you to perfect your mind and body, instead of only going for the hit. And it teaches a different kind of humility, of knowing that you should always aim for a better skill.
