Time's up! We are no longer accepting applications.
The persons we’re looking for work at a telecom provider in deployment. This is about building the passive infrastructure. The department is responsible for finding an antenna site within given search areas, usually on a building’s roof, and then installing the antenna mast and antennas on that roof. The antennas are connected to power and to fiber. Usually power is connected in the building’s basement with the meter and fiber is connected to the fiber network.
For this we work with so-called infrastructure partners, in this case regional and national partners. One partner is responsible for identifying the antenna sites and signing the rental contracts. Other partners handle getting the necessary permits, bringing the antennas to the roof, and connecting the fiber in the basement to the fiber network. The so-called search areas where the sites must be located are defined by Rakuten.
Rakuten is responsible for the entire network, while the provider is in charge of managing the local and national infrastructure partners. That means the provider must of course sign contracts with these partners and then manage them so they deliver the rental contracts or build the antenna sites on time as agreed. Managing includes ensuring weekly reporting, setting up an early warning system, building a cooperative and trusting relationship with the partner, pushing the partners, and developing measures in case of underperformance. In addition, daily coordination with other teams like the planning team and the rental contract team is of course necessary.
