The client wants to document and plan the physical cable routes, corridors and lines of a typical former telecommunications monopoly on the ESRI platform. This includes mapping various technologies, copper, fiber optics and hybrid network structures. The ideal candidate would be a consultant who has repeatedly developed or designed such systems as a developer and knows most of the pitfalls from experience. This is not about a "simple" pure fiber optic network, but about complex structures involving various technologies. The consultant should prevent the internal development team from repeating mistakes that others have already made. This should save time by pointing the way to the "best practices". Example: The client wants to develop its own model for representing nested cable structures. If a cable route lies in concrete, it should be displayed differently than a cable in a duct in the sand. This data is not stored in the ESRI database, but externally (MS SQL Server). The consultancy is intended to accelerate the use of this data in an optimal way. Note: This is not about consulting on the use of ESRI-based third-party products or plug-ins. The client wants to save on the licensing costs of these products and develop a system tailored specifically to them. Environment: The client uses a .NET environment with BLAZER. The development is based on the ArcGIS SDK, and the web functionality is implemented in JavaScript. The database is MS SQL Server. Objective: The consultancy should answer questions or challenge concepts in the aforementioned examples that the client has developed. - Be the point of contact for initiatives and problem-solving of the ESRI development team - Challenge ideas from the development team and contribute own implementation ideas (questions range from the installation of the platform and its use to developer concepts) - Take on responsibility as an independent ESRI consultant (not as a developer)
